I was 48 when I was told I had breast cancer. Since I carried the BRAC1 gene, I knew my risk was higher than the general population. I started regularly seeing an oncologist and did all the recommended preventative measures. I was diagnosed Dec, 18, 2007 and am currently going through the reconstructive process.  Uniquely You was established as a direct result of my breast cancer experience.

All stages of cancer are devastating. For me, losing my hair was the scariest and what I dreaded the most. I looked through catalogs and went to wig shops and became more depressed. Finally, after much searching I found the BeauBeau™ . They were so beautiful and the fabric choices were unique, hip, and fashionable! I found my lifesaver. Through my chemo treatment, many women would ask about my scarves. (I had 13 by the time I finished) The wonderful feature that makes the BeauBeau™ unique is that there is no tying involved, yet it can be styled in seconds and you look like a styling pro! Just as our personalities are different, so are the fabric choices I offer. All headscarves are fully lined in soft cotton. I have many choices that range from casual, exercise, and elegant.
